I’m Helen Dayen, and I’m obsessed with helping leaders win—without losing themselves in the process.
I didn’t start my career in a boardroom or with an HR pedigree—I started as an immigrant kid with parents who left everything behind so we could have a shot at a bigger life. Watching them rebuild from zero taught me what resilience, risk-taking, and relentless grit really look like. Those lessons drive everything I do: growth happens outside of comfort zones, and leadership is built in the moments that scare you the most.

For over a decade, I worked in institutional sales and relationship management, navigating billion-dollar deals, fast-moving markets, organizational earthquakes like the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy and a major bank merger.
But let me be clear: I didn’t always thrive. I made mistakes—big ones. I failed often. And I took chances that terrified me. But those risks paid off in ways that shaped who I am today.
I learned that success in high-pressure environments isn’t about being the smartest in the room—it’s about influence, trust, and keeping your head when everything is on fire. And when I did win over powerful, skeptical decision-makers? It was because I understood what moved them, and I had the courage to put my ideas on the table.
Those lessons became the foundation of my coaching philosophy: leadership is your ultimate competitive advantage—but only if you know how to use it.

After 10 years in finance, I took a leap of faith and pivoted to coaching. No HR pedigree, no traditional L&D background—just a relentless belief that I could help leaders unlock their potential. And I did. I built credibility the hard way: earning trust, delivering results, and never shying away from tough conversations.
At first, I worked almost exclusively with financial services: hedge funds, private equity, trading desks. High performers in high-stakes roles—my people. Over time, I expanded into tech, fintech, pharma, law, and startups. But my sweet spot remains ambitious, analytical leaders who live under pressure and expect results.
